They have been best friends since grade school, they learned to row together on Fish Creek and the success will continue for Saratoga Rowing Association seniors Kathryn Grabowski and Catharine Griskowitz who are both joining the Boston University lightweight program in the fall.
Beautiful weather for Mother’s Day not only brought out fast times from the competitors on Fish Creek, but Ashley Miller from WNYT in Albany was kind enough to drop by and grab some video for the nightly sportscast on NBC affiliate WNYT.
Last year Saratoga Rowing captured 18 medals and executive director Eric Catalano said that it may be hard to top that number, but the organization found a way, winning 22 medals at the New York State Scholastic Rowing Association regatta on Fish Creek.

Nine New York State Rowing entries have placed themselves in Saturday’s semifinals to see if they will advance to the A or B finals Sunday at the US Rowing Youth Nationals championships in Sarasota, Florida.
Four New York State Rowing entries have punched their ticket into the national championship finals – The Amadeusz Rowing Academy women’s double, the Row America Rye women’s quad and the Rye High School men’s lightweight quad have a day off before rowing for the top honors in high school aged rowing.
